Terms of service
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms apply when you order from Fond Farewell ("we", "us"), a small Sydney business that designs and arranges printing of order of service booklets. Questions: hello.fondfarewell@gmail.com.
1. What we provide
We design order of service booklets using the information, words and photos you give us, and, if you choose a printed package, arrange printing and delivery through an Australian printer. Package inclusions and prices are shown on our home page and confirmed in our email to you before you approve anything.
2. The information you give us
- You're responsible for the accuracy of names, dates, spellings and service details you provide.
- You confirm you have permission to share the photos and content you send, and that using them in the booklet won't infringe anyone else's rights.
- We don't print modern song lyrics or other copyright material without permission. We list song titles instead.
- We may decline content that is unlawful or offensive.
3. Proofs and approval
We send you a proof before anything is printed. Two rounds of changes are included. Please check every name, date and word carefully. When you approve the final proof in writing (an email or message saying you approve is enough), we produce and print it exactly as approved. Errors in content you approved are not our responsibility, but we'll help fix them at cost.
4. Payment
After you approve your proof, we send an invoice through PayPal in Australian dollars. Payment is due in full before we release the final file or order printing. You can pay by card without a PayPal account. The price we confirm by email is the price you pay. We're not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
5. Timing and delivery
Our turnaround times (usually within 24 hours for design, and usually 1–2 business days for printed delivery) are estimates, not guarantees. We'll tell you honestly before you order if a date looks tight. We're not responsible for delays caused by printers, couriers or events outside our reasonable control, but we'll keep you informed and do what we can.
6. If we make a mistake
If a booklet contains an error we introduced that wasn't in the proof you approved, or the printing is faulty, we'll fix it and reprint at no cost to you. Please tell us as soon as possible.
7. Cancellations and refunds
See our refund policy.
8. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to section 8, our total liability for anything related to an order is limited to supplying the services again or refunding the amount you paid for that order, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
10. Designs and your booklet
Once you've paid, you may print, copy and share your booklet for personal and family use. We will not use your booklet, photos or story in our own samples or marketing without your written permission.
11. Privacy
We handle your information as described in our privacy policy.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
